The collection is designed to advance the value and diversity of artistic expression by promoting public awareness, understanding, and appreciation of various forms of outsider art, through exhibition, collecting, loaning and publishing.

 

The work champions emerging and established artists in the outsider genre, and presents examples of mainstream contemporary art to serve as counterpoint. 

 

The collection defines intuitive and outsider art as the work of artists who demonstrate little influence from the mainstream art world, and who instead are motivated by unique personal vision. This definition includes art brut, 

non-traditional folk art, self-taught art, art by the mentally disabled, primitive and visionary art. 

 

The collection is located in Palm Beach & Philadelphia.

Scott assists a number of corporations, foundations, museums and private collectors in their efforts to identify works of interest for acquisition and academic research.
